A Carlow based Civil Engineering Company were very glad they invested in the Satrak system.

They recovered one of their machines, a JCB 8035 Plus Mini Digger which was stolen from Dublin City Centre recently.

The owner of the machine was notified via SMS that the machine was being towed away and immediately contacted the local Gardai.

The unlucky thief was caught in the act only a few miles away from the robbery site on the Naas Road. He was apprehended by 3 squad cars. The stolen JCB was being towed away behind his vehicle on a plant trailer which was also stolen.

With the downturn in the overall economy theft is going to become more and more of a problem, as thieves look to supplement their incomes at the expense of others.
