Leicester based hire firm Marriot plant were shocked to discover this Saturday morning that their premises had been broken into by thieves.

The gates had been removed; a JCB mini digger and trailer were missing. Thieves had also stolen a pick-up from the landscaping company's yard next door to pull the trailer and digger.

Fortunately the Digger in question had been fitted with a Satrak Plant Security system which allowed the customer to give the police its location in a yard on the outskirts of Coventry.

When the police arrived they found the excavator and trailer but round the corner also discovered the pick-up belonging to the landscaping business.

"We are extremely pleased that the thieves didn't get the result they wanted. The Satrak unit not only recovered our equipment but also found the pick-up stolen from next door which was an unexpected bonus for them."
